2 miles the hard way--on steamy pavement
Wait long enough for a break, and you may be able to catch a glimpse of carriages coming up 10th Avenue. The buses around the Port Authority Bus Terminal and Lincoln Tunnel are lined up like jetliners on the runway at LaGuardia. This is how the horses commute from the West Side Livery and Central Park Carriages stables in the west 30s. That's right, they have to go to 59th Street to get to work. This video shows the part of New York that most tourists do not see. But they should.

Well, which is it - hopefully they won't see it, or they should? LOL
I have to say, I think these little videos of horses in traffic work very much in our favor. Alert, careful drivers guiding powerful, sound horses as they calmly go about their business, as traffic goes on all around them.
Business as usual.

Gosh, I must upgrade my equipment. I have video of a driver counting his wad of cash, no hands on the reins, with passengers! Can't wait to show the good stuff!!
Enjoy your business while it's still around. If you think it is helpful to show horses sucking in bus exhaust fumes, hemmed in between buses and garbage trucks, well, what can I say.
Slowly, prospective customers will catch on that the horses don't lead the Disneyland life that you paint for them.
Careful drivers? Maybe next time I show them yacking on cell phones, counting the cash, turning around to yuk it up with customers, kicking back, making U-turns.
